Alistair Stephens is a mining and resources executive with more than 35 years’ experience across gold, base metals, critical minerals and coal, including more than 20 years as Chief Executive Officer of ASX-listed and private companies. He has led complex mining, processing and project development operations across Australia, Southeast Asia, Africa, Brazil and South America, with extensive experience spanning geology, mining, metallurgy and operational leadership.

Alistair is recognised as a strategic critical minerals expert with more than 22 years’ experience in the rare earths and niobium sectors. He has played a leading role in defining more than 7 million tonnes of contained Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO) into development and has overseen multiple engineering studies from feasibility through to pre-feasibility and definitive feasibility stages. His experience combines technical excellence with a proven ability to simplify complex development pathways, reduce project risk and create long-term shareholder value.

Throughout his career, Alistair has successfully aligned technical strategy with regulatory frameworks, ESG commitments and government policy while building high-performing, geographically diverse teams. He is recognised for delivering safe and efficient operations, optimising project performance and translating technical complexity into clear commercial strategies that support investment decisions and position projects for long-term success.
